Corcach Mór na Mumhan, or the Great Marsh of Munster, gave Cork its name.·Corcach·is a collection of original·music inspired by the city’s·colourful history,·from its 7th century monastic origins through to its vibrant present: a mix of atmospheric airs, evocative songs - including a couple of beautiful old Cork poems set to new melodies - and spirited dance music.·

·Featuring Nollaig Casey (fiddle and vocals), Máire Ní Chathasaigh (harp), Mairéad Ní Chathasaigh (fiddle and vocals) and some of Cork’s finest musicians: Eoin Ó Riabhaigh (uilleann pipes); Johnny McCarthy (flutes); Eithne Willis (violin and viola); and Joan Scannell (cello).
